Why a portable bike pump?
Some may even wonder what the purpose of a portable mini bike pump is. Well for starters, it is much smaller than a regular sized pump and much easier to carry around with you. In addition, you won’t be paying as much for it. Check out some of the specifics about each one that you might find helpful in your search.
1. Mini Bicycle Pump with Glueless Puncture Kit for repairs – Fits Presta and Schrader
One of the best pumps on the entire online market is the Vibrelli. This is a fantastic product that we needed to lead our list off with. Absolute can’t miss.
This stood out as the best mini pump to us because it works really well and comes with everything that is needed in order to get the job done quickly.
It’s super tiny and can fit anywhere. The small size worked out really well with this pump because we were able to easily attach it to a bike for easy transportation.
There are different modes for pumping situations: it’s a very versatile little thing that was a great purchase. It comes with a glueless puncture kit so it can be helpful around every flat tire.
Basically, no matter what, this is a great option as far as mini portable bike pumps go. This was one of the best all pumps that we were able to test out for the list.
2. Bike Pump (come with Gauge) Made by – Pro Bike Tool – Fits Presta & Schrader – ALways Accurate Inflation
Another bike pump that we really liked and thought worked super well was this pro elite. It comes in 3 different colors so you can make sure it matches whatever you are aiming for.
This was also one of our favorite pumps as far as our list goes and has a ton of amazing features that make it a good purchase.
There is a pressure gauge that is installed right on the hose which helps you inflate to perfection. The design has an oversized piston to quickly get the air into your tires or equipment.
The overall quality is top notch and it was made to last without a doubt. In comparison to some of the other pumps we have been able to test and review, the aluminum is just more sturdy which will help it last for years to come.
We really liked how this portable pump was easy to carry and transport. When testing, there was nothing that got in the way and made it super easy to inflate everything.
Overall, one of the top pumps for sale on the market.
3. Mini Portable Bike Pump, Kitbest Portable Bicycle Pump, for Mountain and Road/Hybrid
As far as the next pump on our list, this pump is the Best Buy for your buck. You might not get the highest quality pump, but for the price you’re paying, it’s still a very solid buy.
We bought this portable pump online to see what a “cheaper” pump is like and it still got the job done.
What we were able to pull out from this is that the cheaper pumped aren’t nearly as sturdy and might not last quite as long, but again, only paying about half of some of the other mini ones on the market.
If you are simply aiming to just pump up a sports ball, this is the perfect product for you. It is lightweight and takes a bit longer to pump than some of the other ones we tested, but nonetheless worked the same.
If you aren’t trying to spend a ton, but still be able to inflate some things, this may be the one to go with.
4. Geared2U Bike Pump – Compact, Mini & Portable – For Road, Mountain and or BMX Bicycles
Straight up, this is probably the cheapest one of all of the bike pumps you are going to see on the market, but it surprisingly lasts a really long time. So for that, we decided to give it the label of Mr. Reliable.
We found this portable bike pump to be really tough and hard to break. We got it years ago and it still has lasted to this day. Again, the quality may not be the greatest, but it is going to get the job done.
This 100 PSI pump doesn’t work overly fast but can still inflate a bike tire from nothing if need be. It’s super small at 7 inches long and weighing in at 3.3 ounces which makes it super easy to attach to a bike or to carry.
Overall this wasn’t one of our favorite pumps just because the quality isn’t that great, but we liked the fact that it can withstand a lot for what it is. If you are planning to use this pump for a big project, it is probably best to save yourself some time as it doesn’t work overly fast.
5. LEOKOR Portable Mini Bicycle Pump – About 260 PSI Pressure for Off Road & Mountain Cycle Tires
With all good in life comes some bad. We thought it was important to be straight up so you know exactly what you are getting ahead of time. If you are looking at this LEOKOR, look elsewhere. Not a good pump by any stretch and a disappointment of a purchase in our eyes.
This bicycle pump has poorly put together pieces and isn’t very durable. The thing that was super annoying about this pump is the loose attachment mechanism that comes with.
It fell off without even trying and was hard to attach and transport. Another thing that was annoying was that it didn’t come with a gauge. This made it nearly impossible to get the pump to inflate everything to perfection.
In all, it may have been able to inflate our equipment, it just fell to the very bottom of the totem pole in our eyes. Crappy pieces of extra equipment to go along with poor quality doesn’t work in our eyes. We recommend that you don’t buy this tire pump.
6. AUTO-VOX 300 PSI Portable Mini Compressor Pump For Tire Inflator Works well with Truck Car Bicycle and Basketball
We really wanted to include this bike air pump because it is much different than all of the rest of the portable pumps we have looked at it. This inflator is automatic and all you have to do is attach and watch. Simple as that.
Aside from the fact that it is automatic, the quality is pretty solid and you don’t have to overly worry too much when looking at this option. It includes a digital PSI to show you exactly what is going inside. Makes sure everything is perfect.
It should be able to inflate a standard tire within 10 minutes tops and you don’t need to spend a ton of your time huffing and puffing to do it yourself.
We really liked this pump because it is automatic like we said, but it simply got the job done right, nothing more to it. This is a solid buy if you are looking at it. Lots of good qualities.
It is priced a bit higher than some of the other bike pumps we have looked at so far but it is worth it if you really don’t want to have to inflate everything yourself.
7. Pro Bike Tool CO2, Quick & Easy, Bicycle Pump — For Off-Road & Mountain Bikes, Sleeve
The last pump we looked at for our review post is this pump by Pro Bike Tool. We liked this one because it was lightweight, compact and inflated our tires quickly. This purchase was different than the rest though.
Unlike most of the pumps, we looked at where you have to manually pump everything, when you buy this “tool” it is just the part that attaches to the bike. You can really only use this for bikes. There is also a foam squeeze that comes with it that makes it really easy to grip.
But this pump is different in the sense that you have to buy C02 cartridges for it when they run out. If you are someone that doesn’t like to have to buy stuff over and over again, this one probably isn’t for you.
We really liked how fast it inflates everything, but weren’t a huge fan of having to buy more C02 when it ran out. Still a good choice as far as bike pumps go, and not overly priced.
